MISSION STATEMENT Holy Family Catholic Church is a spiritually and socially active parish. Rooted in the Word of God and nourished by the Eucharist, we celebrate the life of our Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming the Good News and providing spiritual growth, support and service with love. Founded by Italian immigrants a century ago, today our parish continues the tradition of extending a loving, caring and affirming welcome to all who join us as we Continue Our Journey of Faith.

To strengthen stewardship at Holy Family Parish, we request that you to consider utilizing a new and easier way to support our parish…Automated Giving What is Automated Giving? An alternate means of support for Holy Family instead of envelopes. In lieu of weekly collections, the ParishPay program will collect monthly contributions from your checking, saving, or credit card account. There is NO cost to participate in the program. What are the benefits to me? Allows you to plan your giving, in the same way you budget your other financial commitments. You no longer have to be concerned about catching-up missed offertory donations when you miss a Mass because you are out of town, on vacation, ill, etc. You can easily adjust the amount of your automated contribution (up or down) through the Rectory or do it yourself via a secure website access. You no longer need to write a check every week. How does it relate to the use of the weekly envelopes? If you choose to participate in the Automated Giving Program, this will replace your weekly envelopes. I feel uncomfortable not having something to physically drop into the collection basket. What should I do? Special donation slips are available for those enrolled in the automated giving program to be dropped into the collection basket, should you wish. What about Special Collections? You can specify your giving level for Special Collections and special celebration dates (e.g., Christmas, Easter) when you join the Automated Giving Program, or anytime thereafter. Your support in this effort is greatly appreciated.Automated Giving is Here...Have You Signed Up Yet? It benefits the parish!Enrollment is friendly and trouble-free! Managing your account through ParishPay is easy! It is easy to sign up. Simply enroll at the program’s website: www.parishpay.com, or call 1-866-PARISH1 (1-866-727-4741). Remember, in the early Church the original Offertory Gifts were actual livestock and produce from the field - - lambs, wheat, grapes - - literally the first fruits of the harvest. Over time, cash became a substitute for these actual fruits of one’s labor, and offertory giving changed to gifts of money which is a proxy for the actual products of our labor. In the modern era, checks largely replaced cash in offertory giving. We see ParishPay as the next step in that continuum. Theologically, we are operating in that same principle and modernizing the way people give back to the Lord a portion of His blessings to them.

OUR JOURNEY CONTINUES… An exciting time is coming in the not too distant future. In 2009 we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our parish community. Our journey began in 1909 with a small group of Italian immigrants who wanted a parish so that they, their children and their descendants could worship, adore and give thanks to God. We have come a long way on this journey of ours…learning together, worshiping together, serving our community together and now we will celebrate together. Many exciting events will be planned for our centennial year. In the spirit of stewardship, we will have the opportunity to use our time and talent in many ways. For example, the History Committee will involve gathering information about our parish and collecting photographs. We will have a Liturgy Committee, a Journal Committee, a Special Events Committee, a Dinner-Dance Committee, a Promotional Committee, and a Historical Research Group. Holy Family has had a long, wonderful history. It is time to celebrate the past, remember those who have gone before us and recommit ourselves to this wonderful that is Holy Family.
